The story Behind UK Bees

The original UK Bees store was started in 1976 by my grandfather in Kent, The Garden of England. To continue the family tradition that began in his long gone quaint Kentish weatherboard store, we created this online store to share his ideals that beekeeping should be for everyone, and be affordable.

The majority of our products are sourced from within the UK or made in our East Sussex workshop. We hope you find something you love!

Our Mission

Whilst honouring the practices of traditional beekeeping, UK Bees has embraced the innovations and technology of the 21st century by incorporating hive monitoring devices into bee care, that at once enhance the experience of beekeepers, and make the management of honey bees a more integrated process.

By sourcing our wooden box products from environmentally sustainable UK grown Cedar, we are lowering the carbon footprint associated with imported timber, whilst still offering quality and value.
